My name is Kim Ngai, and in the seventh grade, I became involved in politics.
My social studies teacher was obsessed with the 2004 elections and forced us to watch the presidential debates. After much complaining, I dragged myself in front of the TV, turned it on to Channel 7, and started to take notes on what became an extremely interesting debate.
I became addicted to cultivating a love-hate relationship with politics. I love keeping myself updated with everything happens in Washington, and find it thrilling. However, I detest the corruption and scandals that plague our nation\’s capital.
I hope to write to voice my opinions in this column because I want to attempt to make sense of everything that happens in the race to the White House and everything that happens in 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue itself.
My name is Kim Ngai, and I am in the eleventh grade. I am proud to say I am involved in politics.
