It\’s All Disgusting

The Israeli raids, the inhumane killings, the rejection of a cease-fire—it’s all disgusting. Many label Muslims as terrorists, but the actual percentile of Muslim terrorists is incredibly small— almost insignificant. It is the worse stereotype out there. It’s worse than being called “redneck,” “bad driver,” etc.

How can people so easily believe that all Muslims and Arabs are evil terrorists? How can they just see one side of the news?  

Yes, I feel bad about the Americans dying in combat, but it’s their choice. However, the number of kids and innocent people dying in Palestine is much greater. They never chose to be part of it. I don’t understand how Zionism or the Palestinian occupation is not considered as terrorism, but bombing another country in self defense is.  
Don’t get me wrong, I am totally against the crashing of the Twin Towers and killing of innocent people. I just don’t understand how come Zionism isn’t seen as awful. How come it’s okay to take over the entire Middle East, except of course the parts that are already controlled by American and European and Israeli forces? 
It\’s unjust. I hate this hate for all Arabs and Muslims. Because what Israel is doing now to Palestine is disgusting. How did we, as America, end up waging wars in all these countries? Why are we helping the bombing of Palestine? Are Palestinians now wrong in trying to defend themselves against the bombing of their country? They are using weapons, which are American sponsored, that don’t even match those of Israel. 
I thought we were all about peace and helping others, or was I wrong? Is it only about helping all except the Middle East and Muslims.  
There is a clear genocide happening against Arabs/Muslims. Almost every major country in the Middle East is being bombed. How come everyone stepped up to help in World War 2? I completely support that. The Holocaust was disgusting and inhumane. 
But what I don’t understand is how come no one sees this war against “terrorism” as inhumane? I am trying to be unbiased but these raids are just completely getting out of hand.  
I hate it, and that\’s all I have to say.

    Funny way of seeing it. I don’t understand how the Palestinians felt it was cool to elect a terrorist group, Hamas, for its government. Hamas has stated that their entire goal is to erase Israel from the planet. Nice people. And then the lobbed hundreds (HUNDREDS) of rockets into Israel, not caring who they hit. So, after awhile, Israel said enough. As anyone would do in their situation.

    I’m not saying it’s OK, but the finger points both ways. I don’t agree with the bombing of Gaza, but I understand it. I didn’t agree with Hamas lobbing rockets into Israel, but based on how they have been treated by Israel, I understand that as well.

    These are two groups of people who will never get along. Ever.

    Sounds like the story is one sided and by reading the name of the author it is. dang hajis. Israel has a right to defend itself so don’t blame them for their response. Dang hajis sending rockets into Israel and killing innocent Israelis.
    I guess when kids die in Israel it doesnt matter to you dang haji. So get your facts straight and pull your head out of your you know what. Israel did it out of self defense to stop the rocket attacks.

    No, I am not saying it is a genocide to kill terrorists, but since when were children and innocent bystanders terrorists? There are over 800 children killed…the number of militants killed is much smaller. I am saying there is a clear genocide happenning in the Middle East; people are trying to erase Muslims off the face of the earth as well. There is this false stereotype that Muslims and Arabs are terrorists.

    On top of that, Israel is being unjustified in the war as well; they have much greater weapons, which are American-sponsered like I said and they are bombing a little strip which has population 1.5 million. They have blockaded ways for medical and food aid. Also they bombed a UN school which was known to have refugees. So with all respect to your opinion, just tell me, how will bombing refugees full of children eliminate terrorists?

    I am sorry we differ in our perspectives of what is happening, but what is happening to the inhabitants of Gaza, and all the children dying- losing limbs (and not being able to receive medical aid because Israel doesn’t allow it) and losing family members is completely wrong.

    In 25 days 1317 Palestinians have been killed by Israel including 419 children & 108 women, 5340 injured because Hamas supposedly broke the cease fire right?

    You cry about children dying in Israel, when in reality no child has been murdered by a Hamas rocket. Search some images of what children are going through in Gaza, jerk. As living in a prison isnt enough, hundreds have been killed, orphaned, and have no water, food, or access to a normal life. Sounds totally fair.
    WRONG!

    Israel broke the ceasefire on November 4th, 2008, when they killed 6 of Hamas’s soldiers during a raid (check CNN yourself, they confirmed it a week or two ago). AFTER that did Hamas start to send rockets towards Israel. Rockets that by the way, have only killed 3 civilians. 3 compared to 1317 is ridiculously disproportionate. Compared to the amount of Gazans that have died, those rockets have been nearly harmless! Killing, and orphaning children is absolutely inhumane. Oh and by the way, there are many ways to defend yourself properly, like using any other missile. Instead, Israel has been using ILLEGAL WHITE PHOSPHORUS SHELLS in Gaza. Say what you may about self-defense, and that whole load of spoon fed propaganda you love to reiterate, but using weapons deemed illegal by the UN, weapons that cause flesh burns incapable of being put out by water are absolutely unnecessary and inhumane. Yet of course, our media is so freakin one-sided about the story its absurd.

    Because the only meaning of Haji I know is a Muslim who has made pilgrimage to Mecca (Hajj). So alex it is sad that you have no respect for yourself and others and that the only way to get your opinion across is by insulting me when you don’t even know who I am. You just show proof of the unjustified hate and discrimination towards Muslims and Arabs.

    Yes, I realize you support Israel; that is your choice; we all have different opinions. Can you tell me why you dislike Islam in general? It seems that you dislike the religion and the people who practice it; why is that? Why do you have no respect for Hajj; What does that particular practice of Islam have to do with anything? I am just curious.

    Ok, first of all, this “Alex” person shouldn’t even be writing on here in the first place. He obviously is politically unstable, and uses religious discrimination as a means of a response. He probably didn’t make it past middle school.

    Everyone obviously doesn’t understand the extremity here! You say Hamas is “corrupt,” and Gazans voted for a terrorist organization?

    Israel is ILLEGALLY occupying Gaza, and the West Bank. Of course Hamas isn’t going to stand idle and do nothing about it. What would you do? If you were trapped in a desolate 25 by 6 mile plot of land, with scarce food, no health care, and atrocious living quarters, all brought up upon by the Israelis!

    LOOK AT THE NUMBERS:

    More than 1,350 Palestinians killed, and thousands more wounded.

    13 Israelis killed, and maybe 5 more wounded.

    SEEMS A LITTLE OFF TO ME. How are Israel’s airstrikes justified? They’re not!

    Countless human rights groups, INCLUDING ISRAELI HUMAN RIGHTS GROUPS, totally critiize the Israeli Army’s airstrikes.

    THE UNITED NATIONS AND THIER COMPOUNDS IN GAZA have been bombed. On various European news agencies, UN officials have been interviewed on how they gave the Israelis thier GPS coordinated, and regardless, they bombed them anyways.

    Isreael uses chemical weapons, white phosphorus, which burns through bone marrow. IT IS ILLEGAL UNDER INTERNATIONAL LAW. ISRAELIS ARE LAW BREAKERS.

    wow. That is a terrible thing to say. If the people their are so innocent then they need to stand up and not take it anymore. By the US being their its actually helping out but no one acknowledges that part of it all. American’s are their to defend their nation.     Yeah, I bet America is really scared of Palestine and their rocks that they throw at the tanks. All Middle Easterns out there are terrorists and everyone should defend their nation. Who knows who they are going to take out next? Right? We’ve been in Iraq for how many years now? Afghanistan? Iran? Palestine? Where haven’t we attatcked? And don’t say that America is helping. They’re only helping Israel which is why we are in so much debt and the American dollar is depreciating. I love the United States. I was born here and it’s my country. I am just so sick of the stereotype that Muslims are terrorists. It is just so aggravagating. Oh you have a scarf maam. Step aside while we search you. Funny how all the “random” checks at airports are people with names like Muhammad, Ahmed, Abdul-Rahman, etc. and women with scarves. God, I am just so fed up with the ignorance about Mulims.     what else do you think they’re trying to do? What do YOU do when you can’t take something anymore?? Yes, you try. But what if the whole world is against you? What do you do then? The Palestinians are continuing to resist and they’re trying to live normal lives. But you need to get something straight-Just because you can’t take something anymore doesn’t mean it will go away. Look at your own personal life, a class for example. Let’s say you just didn’t get along with the teacher and you were doing terribly in the class, so you tried to transfer out. It just doesn’t work though. You can’t transfer out in the middle of the semester just because “you can’t take it anymore”..
