With Homecoming coming up in a couple of weeks, the Baron Banner caught up with some students to see their thoughts on the dance.
What are your plans for homecoming this year?
Victoria Phan (’11): “I’m just going to hang out with friends, dance a little, and just have a good time.”
Taylor Milligan (’10): “I got my black dress and my purple heels ready. My friends and I are going to have a dinner party at a friend’s house, and then we’re all going to take a limo to homecoming.”
How do you like this year’s theme?
Yazmin Flores (’13): “It’s bomb! I’m very excited, I’m planning to go with my cousin and my sister.”
Zack Jones (’12): “It sounds cool and fun. I’m totally looking forward to it, last year’s theme was awesome!”
How’d you ask your date?
Matt Schaubeck and Aundrea Loeffelman (’11): “I went to her house, spread roses that lead up to her room, and waited in there until she got home with a rose in my hand asking if she would want to go to homecoming with me. She said yes.”
Lany Dao (’11): “So it happened when I was in choir. All of a sudden, Mr. Tyson stopped us in the middle of nowhere. My friend, Carl Saberon, replaced one of the lines in our music sheets to “Will you go to homecoming with me?”, and right when I finished singing that part, I was so confused. Then I saw him standing up and asking me to go to homecoming with him.”
Johnny Marshukov and Sela-Waters (’12): “I put a teddy bear and a note asking her to homecoming with me inside her locker.”
David Coulter and Natalia Pombo (’12): “It was special. In each class period, he got his friends to give me 2 different pieces of chocolates with letters on them. At the end of my classes, the chocolates spelled out HOMECOMING, and when I went to open my locker, there was a paper placed in there with a big question mark on it.
