Girls’ Volleyball Trampled by Newport Harbor

On Thursday, October 22, 2009 the girls\’ volleyball team played against possibly the best volleyball team in the county, Newport Harbor.
The night ended with 3 losses. The last game kept the crowd on their toes, right up to the last second, as the score hovered at 24-24. Newport bounced back and scored another two points on the Barons, ending the night with a 24-26 loss.
Seniors Brittany Martinez and Sami Little had outstanding performances, as did freshman player Jordyn Sanchez.
The Lady Barons have a chance to redeem themselves with a home game coming up on Wednesday against Esperanza.
