Bell Game Ticket Shortage – Update from Edison

The Baron Banner contacted Edison High School’s Activities Director, Mr. John Elliott, to find out what Edison’s administration is doing in response to the ticket shortage:
On Edison’s ticket sales procedure:
We held a student only ticket day on Monday, October 26. 1100 Edison students either picked up or bought (if they did not have a Supercharger card) their ticket. Students who did not get their ticket on Monday stood in line with the general public on Tuesday, October 27 until the tickets were sold out.
On reactions at Edison High:
This overwhelming response to ticket sales, both at Edison and Fountain Valley, is unprecedented. In the 40 years of this rivalry, tickets have never sold out the first day of sales. Students who were not able to get tickets on Tuesday, were disappointed [just like Baron fans].
On possible solutions:
We are contacting other venues larger than Orange Coast College as to their availability.
On plans for the future:
We will look at securing a larger venue when we are the home team in 2011. Fountain Valley will be the home team next year (2010) and will choose the venue.
