Why are we great against everyone but Edison? It’s just not right

awww i really thought we were gonna get the bell back this year since we had a very good line up with kyle middlebrooks and dominic :’(

i think they just cracked under pressure cause they really are a great team.

I just don’t understand how everyone else that Edison has played in the Sunset League (minus Marina, since they’re playing each other next week) has scored some points… And we didn’t score any. Plus we’ve beat 2 of the 3 (Esperanza and Newport harbor) teams.

I don’t know much about football, barely the basics but we did really bad. It wasn’t just the fact that we lost, but it didn’t look like we were a match for Edison at all. Tons of careless mistakes we made, it didn’t look like we were focused, and you can tell we weren’t gonna win not even half way through the first quarter, especially when one of the QB couldn’t catch the ball when it was snapped.

How’s Kyle look?
Couldn’t see too well, but he was barely mentioned by the announcer. He got stopped by Edison a lot.

How’s our passing game?
HORRID. From the parts that I was paying attention to, the QB’s DID NOT pass when they should’ve. They did not pass when our players were wide open in the backfield and when he did, it was always terrible passes.

Who is controlling the line of scrimmage?
I’ll let someone else answer this.

Is Edison passing more or running more?
Wasn’t paying attention to which they were leaning towards, but they made more years in a play than we did. We barely moved. It was really sad.

Everyone was really disappointed. The parents, especially the men, and even just people who didn’t know the rules.

Edison seemed to be playing more of a passing game on friday night and probably because they knew our defense was terrible. We were leaving men open on both sides of the field and as for our offense, there were interceptions and fumbles left and right. Even our snappers weren’t doing so hot.

The QB was also hesitating a lot during the game. He’d be waiting for an open spot to throw to but end up getting sacked or having to run it himself. Not to mention, 3 of 4 plays were of handing the ball off to someone to run in the middle where we’d only move a couple of yards. We were barely passing or running any plays.

And even though we have had an undefeated season, Edison was #7 in the nation, and they just moved up to #3. We played as good of a game as we could have but let’s be honest, that was probably one of the worst games our boys have played. We all know their potential and their capabilities. But it’s not a surprise that they cracked under the pressure. Anybody would with all the publicity and stress we gave them. What with the newspaper articles, the shoutouts on TV, the assembly and massive hype, we pretty much told the boys that if they didn’t win, well… that we’d be extremely disappointed.

What’s worse is that we probably won’t win the bell for another 4 years the way our JV and underclassmen football players are looking. This team has been our best yet. Let’s just be proud of that.

were are the pics of them crying? like last year. they need to stop doing those lame assemblies and just keep practicing. i am ashamed to be a Baron
