What\’s next for Lady Gaga? She\’s one of the top female pop artists in the world. People are caught off guard because of her eccentric fashion, provocative music videos, catchy beats and her unpredictability, like the time she arrived to the MTV music awards with her date, Kermit the Frog. Almost anyone can say that they have found themselves at least once whistling “Just Dance” while standing in line at Starbucks or singing “Paparazzi” in the shower. It almost seems unnecessary for her to come up with new music because her songs are constantly played on every dance floor and most of the world is still in love with her debut album. Those who want a little bit more of Lady Gaga, don\’t worry, she has answered your prayers.
On November 23, Lady Gaga released her sophomore album, The Fame Monster. Unlike The Fame, her music isn\’t about the consequences of fame and wealth, but about the monsters she encountered while traveling the world and is written as a tribute to her fans. The album has been released in three versions: a standard eight track version, a deluxe edition that includes her debut album The Fame and the Fame Monster, and a collector\’s edition with an art book version that includes items such as 3-D glasses, a puzzle, a lock of Lady Gaga\’s hair and many more goodies which will be released on December 15.
The album, Gaga says, “…is a pop experimentation with industrial / Goth beats, 90′s dance melodies, an obsession with the lyrical genius of 80′s melancholic pop, and the runway.” The first new single of the album “Bad Romance” is a fusion of eerie harpsichord melodies, an amazing hook, and beat. It has tunes similar to Madonna\’s “Vogue,” as it salutes to Gaga\’s love for fashion. Without a doubt, “Bad Romance” will top her previous singles, but in case you want an album that has all of Gaga or her new music, The Fame Monster is right for you.
