On December 9, 2009 the lady Barons soccer team played an exciting game against Long Beach Millikan.. The girls so far have a standing of, 2 wins to one loss. Tonight the game ended with 2-0 win.
Aside with their daily training, the girls have been playing exceptionally well in their last few games.

Among them were sophomore, Jillian Vasquez and senior, Jessica Parker, who made outstanding goals.

“This is a good start and I feel that we have enough confidence and motivation to come out with a great season,” says Vasquez.

These girls are going to do what it takes to get to the CIF playoffs, so watch out sunset league, get ready to see some domination.

On the other hand, we have the boys who sadly lost 0-3 against Santa Ana yesterday, December 9th. Their season standing remains one win to 2 losses currently.

The boys tried their hardest in the game, only to be disappointed with a very close loss. Some boys played exceptionally well like captain, Josh Garcia(\’10) and freshmen, Derek Huynen.

“The team played great…. Its just the beginning of the season and we have more games to come,” says freshmen, Oscar Fernandez.

The boys sure haven\’t lost any hope. With time, training, and hard work, they will be sure to impress sunset league, and make Fountain Valley proud.

Both girls and boys have a goal to get to the CIF playoffs. With many games ahead we hope they will reach their goal and have a successful season this year.
