Congratulations to the varsity girls water polo team on their victory over Tesoro 12-5 last night

Congratulations to our Marching Band for their “best performance at Disneyland ever.”  The orchestra held the largest crowd ever and the band received highest ratings in the Disney Christmas Parade.  FV is now filming for Disney next month for a new Disneyland web site and Disney performing arts information DVD to be mailed nationwide.  Great job Band & Orchestra.

The snack bar will be closed on friday for lunch and also after school. See you in the New Year!

Hey Seniors! Are you hungry for Johnny Rockets?  Good!  Today come to Johnny Rockets located at Bella Terra.  15% of all sales will go towards the Senior Class!  See you there!

Seniors! We are almost there! Class of ‘10 shirts are for sale. Get yours for just $12 from Ms. LaFramboise in room 131.

The Fountain Valley Barons Football program is conducting a sweet fundraiser this Sunday, December 20, 2009 at New Zealand Natural Ice Cream & Frozen Yoghurt. Those of you with a sweet tooth like me can enjoy some award winning ice cream, frozen yoghurt & sorbet between the hours of 6:00pm – 9:00pm. A percentage of sales during these hours will support the Fountain Valley Barons Football Program. The New Zealand Natural Scoop Shop is located at The Stand at Huntington Beach 120, 5th Street, Huntington Beach, CA.

Please stop by Sunday, December 20, 2009 between the hours of 6:00pm – 9:00pm and help support Fountain Valley Barons Football.

Here are your morning announcements for Wednesday, December 16th:

Congratulations to our Boys Varsity Basketball team on their victory over La Puente 64 to 51.

Congratulations to the Boys Sophomore Team for their 33-31 victory over St. John Bosco’s JV team last week in the Bolsa Grande JV Tournament.  They also beat El Modena 67- 44 in the opening round of the FVHS Sophomore Tournament.

“Game of the Week” today. Girls Water Polo vs. Tesoro at Huntington Beach High School, 7:00pm.  Our Girls’ Water Polo team is currently ranked 9th in Orange County.  Great Job Ladies!

Seniors be sure to order your Cap, Gown, Tassel, Graduation  Announcements and Senior Remembrance items today in the Cafeteria during Lunch.

Congratulations

Congratulations to our Varsity Song Competition Team. They placed 1st and qualified for Nationals at this weekend’s competition.  The Cheer Competition squad place 2nd.  Great job Ladies!

Congratulations to the dance team for receiving 1st place in both hip hop categories.  Great start to the competition year!!

Events

Are you ready for the holidays?    How about getting a good dose of holiday spirit from our vocal music program.   Tonight at 7:30, come out and hear Deck the Halls…with a Lot of Jazz!, presented by all five of our award-winning choirs!  You will hear everything from the Beach Boys to Harry Connick Jr to traditional favorites!    There will also be funk, Insync, reggae and a lot of other surprises.   A special guest star this year will be our own beloved principal, Mr. Herzfeld, who will be taking his talents to the stage as well.    Definitely something not to be missed!!!  Tickets are on sale today from 12-1:30 p.m. by room 307 and are only $5 for students!    Bring your friends and let’s get grooving in the holiday spirit with Deck the Halls!

Tomorrow night is the Orchestra Fall Concert at 7:30pm in Room 310.  Admission is free to all…enjoy the best string orchestra music in Orange County.

Seniors don’t forget to order your Cap, Gown, Tassel, Graduation Announcements and Senior Remembrance items Tomorrow in the Cafeteria from 7:00am to 1:00pm .  All ordering information was mailed to your home.  If you still need an ordering packet, pick one up now in the Activities Office.

Come support Joni’s Angels Rubio’s Fundraiser from 2pm to closing on Wednesday to raise money for children with terminal illnesses.

Attention Freshmen: If you come to the next Freshman Commission meeting tomorrow in Mrs. Bunten’s room, 235, there will be a surprise waiting for you.  Be sure to come on time!! All freshmen are welcome
