Here are your morning announcements for Friday, January 22nd, 2010:
Events
Grad Night is accepting drawings for their Grad Night Theme: “A Knight to Remember”. The winner will win a free ticket to Grad Night, a $ 100.00 savings. Seniors only need to apply. Please put drawing on a CD and place in administration Grad Night box.
Grad Night tickets are on sale. Please go to the activities office for an application or go to Grad Night website and download application. $100.00 will get you entrance to the party of the year from 9pm to 5am, June 16th after graduation.
Hey all you Baron fans, come out and support your community and the Lady Barons basketball program by attending the 3rd annual Police and Firemen basketball game. It\’s tomorrow night here in the Fountain Valley high school gymnasium. Tip off starts at 6:00 pm. See you all there!!
The Sweet Escape Winter Dance is coming up next Friday, January 29th from 8:00-11:00pm. Tickets are $7 w/ASB or Super Baron card and $9.00 without. Tickets will also be sold at the door for $9.00. Guest contracts are available in Supervision. Make sure you serve your detentions and Saturday schools by January 27th at 3:00 and turn in your guest contracts by January 26th no later than 3:00.
Boys Tennis tryouts have been changed to Monday & Tuesday, January 25 & 26th @ 2:00pm on the Tennis Courts.
Congratulations to Tim Chau & Adrien Chorn, Kyle Le & Misha Huynh, Andrew Neeld & Kyle Trewartha, Stephan Nissen, Jon Pham, Josh Nguyen, Joe Kim, Alvin Le, Samuel Kim & Daniel Kim. Jordan Reynolds and Vincent Snow for passing the auditions for the District Wide Talent Show. Come support your fellow Barons! Buy a ticket in the financial office before Feb. 4th. The Talent show is Tuesday, February 9th.
Data-Match questionnaires are due today! Get yours from any Senior Commission member or go to room 131. Results will be in just in time for Valentine’s Day!

Attention Freshman Commission Members, make sure you are at the meeting on Tuesday the 26th in Ms. Bunten’s room 235 at lunch. The yearbook photographer will be there to take your picture.

Congratulations to the Frosh/Soph Lady Barons Basketball Team for beating Edison High School yesterday afternoon. Great performances by: Kelcie Mayott with 16 points, 3 blocks and 4 steals. Danielle Tran contributed with 5 steals and 5 rebounds. The Lady Barons are now 10-and-5 overall, and 3-and-1 in the Sunset League. Way to go team!”

The time has come… A Midsummer Night’s Dream is playing now! Catch the show Wednesday the 20th through Saturday the 23rd at 7pm or Saturday, January 23rd Matinee at 2 pm. Student tickets are $8. It\’s time for the 1st annual DISTRICT WIDE TALENT SHOW! Are you tired of keeping up with the Kardashians? Has Heroes become so boring that you need saving? On Tuesday, February 9th, prepare for an evening of nonstop entertainment at the first annual DISTRICT WIDE TALENT SHOW! Tickets are now available at the financial office! The talent show is at HBHS in the historic auditorium. Come and cheer for your talented BARON classmates and see who take home the $300.00 grand prize. Who knows, you might even meet the celebrity judge….
The debate association is hosting an “Israel-Palestine Debate” today and Tomorrow in room 405.

Congratulations to the Boys Varsity soccer team for beating Marina 1-0. Steven Ryan had the winning goal. good job barons good luck against EHS tomorrow.
Congratulations to the dance team for a great start to their competition season. The hip hop team received 2 first place trophies and an award for highest marks!! One of our jazz teams also placed 1st and the lyrical team placed 4th. Great Work Girls!! If you want to see the team perform come to the boys basketball game this Wednesday here at FVHS!!
