Six OC Divers Qualify for CIF Championships

Six Orange County Divers qualified for the 2010 CIF Championships at the Sunset League\’s first qualifying meet held at Los Alamitos High School on April 1st and two are from Fountain Valley High School. Congratulations to Sophomore, Erica Curry who placed second for girls Varsity and Senior, Collin Lindsey who placed third for boys Varsity.

To qualify for CIF Division 1 Championships, divers need to complete eleven dives from the five different dive groups, forward, backward, reverse, inward and twisting and achieve a total point score of 300 points or higher. Sunset League Varsity Divers have four more qualifying meets at Los Alamitos High School before the Division 1 California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) Championships May 13th at Fullerton College.
