ASB Executive Parliamentarian for the 2010-2011 School Year, Noelle Nguyen

NN: Thank you!

BB: How did you feel when you found out that you made it?

NN: While I was waiting for the results, I was anxious and really nervous. But, when I saw (that I made it), I was surprised and filled with happiness and relief!

BB: How did you prepare to run for ASB Executive?

NN: Well, it was a pretty long process, but to cut it short, I had to come up with an awesome speech, design catchy fliers, make a lot of t-shirts, and not get too stressed out!

BB: What leadership skills do you possess to be a great ASB executive?

NN: I get along well with others and am able to easily communicate with my peers. I\’m easy to talk to, and I\’ll keep my word in listening to every person\’s suggestions. I also know how to run our school. I am familiar with the planning of all events, activities, and assemblies that occur throughout the year and am capable of being an active member in each. I know my priorities, and will complete my tasks when I am assigned them. I am capable of being in charge of different activities, and with my responsibility and knowledge, I can successfully complete them.

BB: How long have you been on ASB and what has it taught you?

NN: I have been on ASB for one year already. Prior to that, I was on Senate my freshman year. ASB has helped me develop skills that are useful at school, and in the real world. I\’ve improved on my communication, time-management, and organizational skills. It has showed me that helping to run the school can be a fun, but also difficult job. In the end, it has its rewards and is definitely worth it.

BB: What position are you aiming for as an ASB executive?

NN: I hold the position of Parliamentarian for the 10-11 school year.

BB: What qualities do you have that will make you great for this position?

NN: I have the qualities that an ASB leader should have such as responsibility, organization, dedication, commitment, creativity, and pride.

BB: What other school activities or clubs that you participate in?

NN: I\’m on board for Sophomore Commission, and am a member of CSF.

I am currently already a member of ASB, CSF, and Sophomore Commission.

BB: What profession do you want to pursue as a career?

NN: I\’m not sure…maybe something in the medical field, such as a child oncologist. I\’m also considering on being an architect or interior designer. Ask me in 15 years and I\’ll give you a definite answer, (laughs).

BB: What do you like to do on your free time? Any hobbies?

NN: I love spending time with friends and family. They are what keep me sane. I like to go out to watch a good movie every now and then. Funny movies are my favorite!

BB: If you could have one super power, what would you want and why?

NN: I would want to be invisible. Actually, if it counts, I\’d want to (control) time. Sometimes I make really big mistakes, and I wish I could turn back time and do it over. That\’d be something cool to do, huh?

BB: Do you have a favorite quote or something you live by?

“Everything happens for a reason. Every action has a reaction. Always remember that what\’s meant to be will always find a way to come about.”

NN: What is your favorite food?

I love Italian food and anything exotic! The way to my heart, is through my stomach. Just kidding! Kind of…

BB: If you could be any Disney character, who would you want to be and why?

NN: I\’d want to be Russell from Up, cause he\’s a big package of cuteness. Plus, I want a snipe!

BB: Thank for your time!

NN: You\’re welcome.
