On Friday, March 13, the local community gather to protest California’s deep budget cuts in public education by holding a rally that started at Ocean View High School at 3:30 p.m. Fountain Valley High school teachers, parents, and students participated in the protest.

 On November 7, 2008 at Orange Coast College, the Barons and Chargers met to play in the most intense high school rivalry in Orange County: the Battle of the Bell. Despite a great fight, the Barons fell again for the 4th consecutive time to the Chargers, 14-7.EHS Won: 26FVHS Won: 12Total Games Played: 39
