Angelica Yaghoubi

Angelica Yaghoubi joined the Baron Banner team in her sophomore year and fell in love with the class. She is now a senior at Fountain Valley High School and a journalism advocate. Her passion for sports translated clearly into articles which fueled her interest in journalism. Now, Angelica is a credited high school journalist as she placed 5th in OCJEA and 11th in SCJEA and has gone to journalism events and camps.

Outside of Baron Banner, Angelica enjoys sports, especially soccer. As much as she likes to play the game, she can also sit and watch many games since she doesn\’t enjoy many movies. Aside from soccer, she also likes basketball; although her height refrains her from being a professional, she has quite a few skills up her sleeves.

Angelica loves the color pink and takes pride in cooking. Her favorite food in lasagna, but can cook some great Mediterranean food. She knows 4 and half languages and is working on learning Spanish. She loves zebras and lions and has a cute little Chihuahua mixed dog that she loves spending time with.

For her senior year, Angelica takes on another role of being a big sister as her little sister, Selena Yaghoubi, is a freshman at Fountain Valley High School. The two have similar personalities and can make a great team. Angelica looks forward to continuing covering sports and enjoying her senior year!
