Jamie Namkung
Senior Jamie Namkung hopes this year will be her best. Her favorite class is English because she likes the open discussions and enjoys hearing other students’ views on a topic. She also likes the philosophy that can be discussed in English. Jamie’s all time favorite teacher is Mr. Penhall. “He isn’t exciting, yet his nonchalant way always makes me laugh.”
Jamie is a member of Friends for Africa, the secretary of ASB, and the opinions editor of the Baron Banner. She is also part of the junior volunteer group at the Fountain Valley Regional Hospital and helps disabled children at her church.
In her free time, Jamie likes to read, surf You Tube, sing, and stay out of the house. Her pet peeve is hypocrisy – she completely hates it when people say one thing and do another.
This year, Jamie is striving to set her goals straight and set college admission as her first priority. Her first semester goal is to finish her applications before November. All and all, senior year will be her best year as she hurdles her way to college.
