Johnny Nguyen
Johnny Nguyen is a senior at FVHS and this is his first year in Baron Banner. Johnny describes himself as “excited to see what is in store for the year to come in this program.”
This motivated senior joined Baron Banner for the want of something new and fulfilling, as well as opportunities to meet new people. He hopes to become a better writer and prove his worth to the rest of the staff.
One of Johnny’s goals this year is to work diligently and reach a cumulative grade point average of 4.0, so that he can wear that bright white robe for graduation. At home, he spends most of his time studying and doing his homework that he procrastinates on doing during the day. Besides cramming for a test last or waiting last minute to do his homework, Johnny enjoys going outside and playing volleyball or spending time at church scouts.
This Baron plays as outside hitter for the boys’ volleyball team, and he’s been firing across the net since his freshman year. He dreams of volleyballs in his sleep. Staying physically fit is his priority.
But that isn’t all he has in mind.
Johnny plans to do something meaningful rather than sitting at home behind a book. “I sit in school learning about what life is like. I hate doing that,” he says. “I want to go outside and learn what life actually is.”
Despite all his aspirations, at home, Johnny loves to mellow out and watch his favorite T.V series, House M.D, play games on his PS3, and watch countless movies on Netflix or DVD\’s that he has lying around in his room. He also likes to read entertaining books when he feels in the right mood; some of the books he has read on his own are: the whole Harry Potter series, the Percy Jackson Series, I Am Number Four, and The Power of Six.
This new addition to the Baron Banner team is a literary force to be reckoned with.
