Calvin Tsang
by Adrien Ha
Calvin Tsang, the middle child of three, was born and raised in Fountain Valley. Besides being a member of the Baron Banner, he is also a member of the FVHS JV Track and Cross Country teams. When he’s not hitting the track, Calvin is an active volunteer of Red Cross, Kiwin\’s, and American Heart Association.
Calvin can be described as a fun and outgoing procrastinator, who likes to make a habit of meeting new people. His philosophy is simple – to have a good time while still being productive. He looks up to The Beatle John Lennon, the reason being that he is the John Lennon. Calvin also believes in recycling to save the environment.
In his free time, Calvin is a recreational internet user and likes to spend his time playing video games, and enjoys watching shoes such as House, M.D., Fringe, and The Walking Dead. He is also an avid outdoorsman who likes to bike, hike, camp, and explore the wilderness, with Yosemite National Park being one of his favorite places.
Calvin enjoys traveling, and hopes to one day travel to the Galapagos. A history buff, Calvin claims there to be “history in everything,” and it remains that history is by far his favorite subject in school. He likes to read Popular Mechanics, Popular Science, National Geographic, andTIME, although that is not to say that he does not enjoy comics such asGarfield.
Calvin hopes to be one day self-employed while still working for the benefit of others. At the moment, he is possibly college-bound, his uncertainty lying in the fact that he does not want to spend four years and thousands of dollars studying post-high school, and that he would rather do something fun while making money. If he does attend college, however, he hopes to major in biochemistry at UC Berkley or UC Davis.
