On January 12, 2010, Haiti was hit by a 7.0 magnitude earthquake killing over 300 thousand and leaving the entire nation in utter chaos and destruction. While initially people around the world reacted to the disaster with open arms, little has improved in Haiti. A year later, the nation is still far from being back on its feet.
